| Nike Golf Clubs - The
Nike CPR Iron
One of the Nike golf clubs is called the
Nike CPR Iron. It's Nike's version of a hybrid iron. The Nike
CPR Iron is essentially a five or seven wood, but it is a bit
different than your normal wood. This iron has a lower center
of gravity which helps get the ball in the air easily and
quickly. This golf club also has a head that looks like it has
been sliced in half.
This can present a problem if you're fairly
new to the game of golf, or perhaps have a high handicap. The
club head is so tiny that you wonder how you'll be able to hit
the ball with it. Another problem you may experience is that
the club has a strange tendency to hit the ball too high. When
we tested it, the ball went so high, we couldn't control the
overall distance. Some shots would go the correct height, and
others would balloon out of control.
And last but not least, we simply weren't
sure when to use the club. You can't really use this golf club
unless you have a poor lie and just need to whack the ball out
of there. If you have a good lie, any other club in your bag
will work better. With that said though, this club is
good for those who have a lot of trouble getting the ball high
in the air, and for those who have slower swing speeds.
The bottom line is basically that we're not
in love with the CPR model golf iron from the Nike golf irons
product line. We don't like the way the ball came off the golf
club, and again...we never really knew where to use it. It may
be a very useful club for some players, especially if you have
a feel for Nike golf clubs, but if you have a low handicap,
consider looking at at something else.
